Lavender is universally regarded
as one of the most powerful and

for this plant are almost endless.
Lavender essential oil is one of

and a sweet, floral aroma.
• Add 8–12 drops to water
and spray under beds and
in closets for a fresh,
pleasing aroma.
• Apply 2–4 drops to skin to moisturize and
enhance skin radiance.
• Diffuse at night for a calming aroma during sleep

broad range of uses, Frankincense

Lemon’s many applications make
it one of the most useful essential
oils to have on hand. The fresh,
zesty aroma is refreshing, and its
naturally occurring d-limonene plays
an important role in NingXia Red
®
Young Living’s superfruit supplement.
• Use Lemon essential oil as a
dietary supplement in your
daily routine.
• Substitute Lemon oil for lemon
juice or lemon seasoning to flavor

Essential Oils Premium Kit

There are several different starter kits you can buy to get started with Young Living but the most popular is the Premium Starter kit.
Here is a view of the Premium starter kit and what comes in it. You now have the opportunity to choose between 4 different diffusers. This change was made recently, previously you usually only had the choice of the Home Diffuser. With having four different choices they are hoping to not be out of stock of your favorite diffuser as often. The kit will be $160 with the dew drop or the home diffuser plus tax and shipping. I have the home diffuser and really love it, it runs for at least 4 hours if not up to 6 if running continuously. My favorite features with the home diffuser are that the light can be turned off while it is still diffusing and, it can be put on intermittent which can run up to 8-10 hours. Another thing that has changed are the oils that are in this kit, Peppermint, Lemon, Lavender, purification, Thieves, Digize, RC, Panaway, Copaiba, Frankincense, and the bonus oil is stress away. Young living is also doing what they call flex oils and if any oils are out of order in the kit they will give you one of the flex oils. Flex oils are Citrus Fresh, Tea Tree, Aroma Ease, Lemon Grass and Orange, you may never have the need for flex oils but this way you know that you wont have to wait until the oil out of stock comes back in stock. The kit also includes two samples of NingXia red, 10 samples of essential oils to share with friends or family, a few small empty bottles to give samples and a snap on roller top for easy application.
If you are interested i would love to host an facebook 101 class to teach more about the oils and tell how they have helped myself and family, just leave me a message and i will set up a date and time and invite you.

Essential Oils

I haven't written I a while because I've been busy being a working mom and going to school. I quit working outside of the home in April and I can say I love being back at home all the time with the kids. I'm now trying to make money on my own by, babysitting and promoting Young Living Essential oils. Have you ever heard of essential oils or tried using them for yourself and family? Let me tell you a little about essential oils! I have been using them since July 2014 and absolutely love using them for my health and wellness. I love to spread the word about these Essential oils to help others achieve personal wellness. I love Young Living because of their seed to seal promise, this means there is not anything added to them before they are put into the bottles. If you are interested in learning more I will be adding more information to the blog about each oil that is in the Premium Starter kit. This is the kit that most start with because it has 11 oils in it and a diffuser and a few extras!

Being a parent of 2!

I became a parent of two in June of 2009. A lot of people i had talked to said the transition from one to two children might be difficult however, i found it just as easy as being a parent of one. My two children are three and a half years apart so my oldest was potty trained already and pretty self sufficient. Kelsee is my oldest, she was a happy big sister from day one, and she has always been such a big help with Tyler. Speaking from our experience i think their age difference has been perfect for our family, she is old enough that she can teach Tyler things from her perspective that we don't necessarily think about.

When Tyler was first brought home from the hospital all Kelsee ever wanted to do was hold him and coo over him, she was so in love. She enjoyed helping mom with things like getting diapers or picking out Tyler's clothes. When we were in the car we always knew what Tyler was up to because, Kelsee always kept us informed! LOL As they grew older Kelsee was always trying to teach Tyler something new. when it came to sitting and crawling it was so cute to hear her talk to him about it and try to get him to progress. She was so excited when he started crawling and they would chase each other up and down the hallway, very funny to watch. We have never had any jealousy issues with Kelsee when Tyler was an infant but, then he started walking and understanding more. When he started getting into her toys and wanting to do everything sister did, she started to get a little distressed over it. We had to set some boundaries with them and let Kelsee know that if she didn't want to share then she needed to play in her room with the door shut. That is still a rule to this day, except that Tyler learned how to open doors so we had to put child locks on all the doors!
Kelsee started Kindergarten this year and those first couple weeks were a little rough on Tyler. He would follow mom around everywhere because he wasn't used to not having Kelsee to play with. As the weeks went on though, we all adjusted and i think now he welcomes the time to spend with mom without anyone else.

As Tyler grows we run into certain times that Kelsee will get jealous and we have to remind her that Tyler is still young and he needs a little more attention at times then she does. We try to separate our time with each child evenly and as parents I'm sure you understand that can sometimes be hard. We all do the best that we can do and hope that our children understand in the end. Kelsee would never trade her brother for the world, she loves having him around for a playmate and it is so nice to see them play together and share the bond that they do.
I wouldn't trade having my two kids for the world and i think two is the perfect number for our family. I have seen quite the difference between having a girl and having a boy, my kids are total opposites as far as personality so far. Kelsee was an excellent baby and as she grew older she got more and more needy and high strung. However, Tyler was a clingier baby (not sure if nursing had anything to do with that) and as he gets older he's so mellow and laid back. We did have a phase where he was biting everyone that came into site and I am oh so glad we are through that and he's back to being mellow and laid back. Kelsee was talking in sentences by a year and a half, Tyler just started talking a lot a month after he turned two but, he is already talking in sentences five months later! I am excited to see what the future holds for my family and our two children!

Times Change

I am officially a working mom, i got my first job since having kids on Monday November 7th! I am going to be a front end cashier at Wal Mart and i couldn't be more excited to start! There are going to be small changes for our family but in the end it will help us a lot. I am going to be working nights and weekends so that we rarely need a sitter and won't have to pay for a sitter! That means all the money i make is getting banked for our new house unless we need it for a bump in the road along the way!

I am excited that i wont be missing my kids every day things, and i'll still be able to attend field trips if i find a sitter for Tyler. I'll still be able to take my little girl to dance because as of now i asked for Tuesdays off! I'll still be taking Kelsee and picking her up from Kindergarten, so we'll get to talk about her day before i go to work! Mommy will still have dinner most nights with her family instead of having to eat alone at work!

I will miss bedtime though, we both switch kids every other night to read to and tuck into bed. I'll miss my goodnight kisses from my kids and husband but, i know i'll get them before i go to work! I'm gonna miss my me time at night after everyone goes to bed because i'll be at work most nights or too exhausted to stay up!

But in the end it is what is best for our family in order to eventually move into a much needed bigger house on a basement! Its definitely not my dream job but it will suffice for now and i really like being around people so i know i will enjoy it. I worked as a Cashier at the same walmart i will be working at now, when i was in high school! I enjoyed it then so i'm sure i will still enjoy all the interaction and people around me!

Kelsee is having a hard time with me going back to work but i really think after it happens she will realize its not that bad. On weeknights i will only be gone a couple hours before she goes to bed and the rest of the time she'll be asleep. But how do you explain this to a almost 6 year old so that she will understand and not be so upset about it? I don't think it will effect Tyler as much because he's still little that as long as daddy is there to tuck him in he'll be ok! Other then getting a job nothing else is new...just same stuff every day!!! lol I love my family!!!

Just another week

Not much going on this week, just another week our house! Kelsee my 5 year old will have her first official paid dance class this week! We got her outfits today for class on Tuesdays, very pretty blue leotard with attached skirt and a pink skirt to go with her pink leotard! She's also recently joined girl scouts so a lot of money is being put forth for her these days! But that's ok we just want her to enjoy life while she's young and have every opportunity she can have!

Tyler is talking more and more each day and we're working on colors lately. Today while he was going potty at poppy's (grandpas) house he was pointing out the towel and hand towel next to the toilet! Then i would say Tyler got a blue shirt and he'd repeat Ty Ty blue shirt, i love how much they absorb at this age!

My husband and i celebrated our 6 year anniversary Saturday Sept 10, i can't believe I've been married that long! :)  We took the kids to Poppy and Nana's house to stay the night and we went to dinner at Toko, which is a new Japanese Steakhouse in Fort Wayne. It was ok food but i definitely would say I'd rather go to Takioka if i'm going to to a Japanese Steakhouse! The chef wasn't as entertaining and you definitely didn't get as much food for what the prices are. The flavor was good, except the fried rice was bland without soy sauce. The lightening was better and it was a little more modernized then Takioka but overall we weren't impressed! After dinner we still had an hour until the movie we were going to watch, so my husband (Nate) decided to go to Gander Mountain and look around. Found out the Crossbow he wants to buy might be $100 less there then where he was originally looking. Then we still had time to kill, so he took me to Debrands on Auburn Road...its a cafe and they make the yummiest chocolate! We got some delicious chocolate and then went to the movie! We went to Car- Mike Cinemas on Dupont..huge Theater but the actual cinemas probably only seat about 40 people if that. We went and seen Captain America, that was a great movie! It was a long night but it was a lot of fun! We haven't been out without kids in a while and we hadn't been to a movie in the theater since our daughter was 4 months old.
Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Blog featured this week! YAY!!!

The Not-So-Secret Confessions of a First Time Mom

I am excited to be the featured blog for Mom Blog Monday with Not so Secret Confessions of a First Time Mom, Luxury Living Frugal Style and So Easy Being Green as the hosts! Thank you for letting me be the featured blog this week it is an honor!

Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend, mine was long! We went to Michigan Thursday evening which is a 4 hour trip from where we live. Then Friday at 4pm we had a wedding to attend to which was another 45 minute drive from where we were staying. We had a great time visiting with family and it was a beautiful wedding! Our daughter Kelsee especially had a lot of fun, cause she doesn't see or play with her cousins that often!
We stayed one more night at my husbands grandfathers and spent the day Saturday at his house also. The kids and I got to meet my husbands Aunt Dawn and Uncle Bob..they are from Florida! Yes...we've been married for almost 6 years (next Saturday) and this was my first time meeting them! What can ya do...we've never been at the same place yet so far! Kelsee was absolutely in love with their two dogs Oz and Lady both way bigger then our Chihuahua that we have at home!
This picture is of Aunt Dawn, Kelsee, Tyler and Uncle Bob with grandpa Price and Oz in the background!
Saturday early evening we loaded in the car again and headed for my father in laws, which is 30 minutes from grandpas house. He also has big dogs (2 labs and a standard poodle), my kids thoroughly enjoy going there because of the big dogs! Sunday we rode four wheelers but unfortunately no pictures this time. We also had a campfire in the afternoon on Sunday and cooked hot dogs and got to visit with Uncle Jason (my husbands brother), Aunt Diana, Mara and Noah for a little while. For dinner we had Pizza Hut...yum stuffed crust! :) Then we went back to my father in law's and watched Diary of  A Wimpy Kid with Kelsee and Tyler (cute movie). After the kids were both in bed and the father in law was in bed my husband and i watched Hall Pass. Interesting movie, not sure what my opinion of it is, it was funny but a little odd. I'm pretty sure my husband and I will not be doing a Hall Pass anytime soon! LOL We got home tonight just before bedtime and hurried and got the kiddo's ready for bed and put to bed!
Now i'm the only one still up and the house is completely dark! Guess i better go to bed cause tomorrow starts another day of getting up at 6:30am to get my Kindergartner ready and too school! Hope you all enjoy my blogging and continue to follow it after this week! I do awesome reviews and giveaways and i should have one coming up soon (finishing one from earlier this summer) for a bankie!

School has started!

I haven't posted in a while and it is mainly because i've not had much to say or been super busy! We went to Florida for 9 days last month, that was awesome and i'm so glad my husband came with us! Last time Kelse and i went to Florida was with my dad, his g/f and my 11 year old sister in 2008. So it was definitely a nice change that our whole family plus my dad and them were able to go to Florida and enjoy some much needed down time!
Before we went to Florida Kelsee started swim class, so she missed a class while we were in Florida but i don't feel like she missed anything! If anything she learned more in Florida then she missed in her class because...she learned how to swim under water with goggles! Very impressive for a 5 1/2 year old and she was very proud! Tyler also learned to swim by himself with the help of arm floaters while we were in Florida, which he is also very proud of himself for!
When we got back from Florida we got to spend some time at the park with some friends! We hadn't seen them since June and man had we missed them! I think the girls played better together that day then they ever had!

Kelsee started Kindergarten Tuesday August 16th and was so happy to see her best friend as we walked in the gym the first day! Audrianna and Kelsee have known each other since they were born, and now will continue on their friendship journey as they embark on the new journey of school together! (they are a 22 days apart in age) Kelsee has been doing great at school and loving every day. Last Friday she was upset for it to be the weekend! Thats my girl, i love that she loves school!
Tyler has missed sissy while she has been away during the day at school and has been more lovable to mommy. Which is fine with mommy but i do need to get house chores done also! LOL

Here is Tyler on Kelsee's second day of school, we were half hour early cause i didn't get the note that said on Wednesdays they start at 8:35am!

Review/Giveaway for Rockin' Green Remix

I had the great opportunity to review Rockin' Green cloth diaper detergent Remix formula! This is a cloth diaper safe detergent but i have heard heard it works well on other laundry and carpet.
Rockin' Green says "Our detergents are safe for you and the environment. Rockin’ Green is: Dye free, Comes in several yummy scents (& an unscented version for sensitive skin), No fillers, No enzymes or optical brighteners, 100% Phosphate free, Vegan, Great for sensitive skin and much much more."
My kids and husband have very sensitive skin and i have ever only been able to use Tide free or All free detergents for them, i can't even use dryer sheets because it sticks to the dryer and my husband breaks out..even if i don't use it on his clothes. With Rockin' Green i haven't had any issues with it causing any breakouts for anyone!  Rockin' Green has awesome customer service also, i have never had a problem with getting a quick response to any questions I have had since using Rockin' Green.
My favorite scent used to be Rage against the Raspberries, until i did this review. I had switched away from classic because i have a soft water system and my diapers were starting to get stinky even after being washed. Soft Rock Bare Naked babies was working well for me, and leaving my son's diapers smelling fresh after each wash! Rockin' Green sent me several scents in their new formula and a couple Bare naked babies soft rock also. I was going to just continue with the soft rock but decided to try a new scent...and oh man it is delicious smelling! I decided to try the classic rock Lavender Mint Revival Remix..it definitely is minty and clears your sinuses a little when you smell it in the package. But my diapers never smelled more amazing after a wash and a long rinse cycle. I was able to get 3 washes with my HE washer, with this sample. I'm bummed that i am out...and still have over half a bag of my soft rock Bare Naked Babies that i had previously bought. I hope that i run out before he's potty trained, just so i can buy a big bag of Lavender Mint Revival! I am a huge fan of Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper detergent and have used other detergents on my diapers and they never come as clean! Thank you for an awesome product creator of Rockin' Green!!!
